Independent Living Resources, Inc. (ILR), specializes in producing, researching, and marketing products for educators, human service staffs, parents, caregivers, and anyone interested in teaching life skills to teens and young adults. Our primary areas of focus are adolescents, life skills (interdependent living), foster care and adoption services, group and residential care, at-risk youth, and workplace safety for human service staffs. Products include books, videos, training curricula (both book and online), multimedia (CD, DVD), and Internet web-based materials.
In general, ILR tries to develop products that meet a need that has been determined from surveying the needs of professional social workers, foster parents, youths, other caregivers, etc., who attend seminars and meetings ILR delivers across the US and in particular under contract with states and private child-caring agencies.
In addition, materials have also been developed through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and state contracted development efforts. ILR also strives to develop and market materials that are needed by a specific group, such as foster parents or youth advocates, which have been previously unavailable. We also review our products to see whether any have the potential to become part of a focused integrated package of materials that can be marketed to agencies and individuals for a specific purpose. Both start-up and existing programs find our materials to be valuable tools for both youths and staffs.
ILR is staffed by professionals with extensive experience in both adolescent independent living and personal workplace safety and strives to maintain this leadership.
We develop and select materials with your program needs in mind, and are pleased to present you with state-of-the-art products.
Our commitment is to bring you current, practical materials at very affordable prices.
